How often should I schedule AC maintenance?

Twice a year — spring and fall.

The spring visit prepares your system for the cooling season; the fall visit covers the heating side and checks for anything that degraded over the summer. Both visits are included in your Qual-Tech maintenance plan.

Dirt and debris accumulate on the coils, refrigerant levels drift, electrical components age without inspection, and small issues grow into expensive ones.

The two most common outcomes of deferred maintenance are compressor failure and a significantly shorter overall system lifespan. Neither is cheap.

Generally one to two hours.

If we find something that needs attention, we’ll discuss it with you before doing any additional work. Nothing gets added to your bill without your approval.
