Qual-Tech’s maintenance plan keeps your system tuned, inspected, and prioritized — so you’re not scrambling for a technician in the middle of July when every other HVAC company in the Valley is booked out two weeks.

The Grand sits in one of the most demanding HVAC climates in the country. From May through September, residential cooling systems out here run 8–12 hours a day without a break. Package units on The Grand’s rooftops are exposed to full sun, intense heat, and monsoon season dust — all of which accelerate wear on components that were already working hard.
The homeowners who get surprised by a failed compressor in August aren’t the ones who ignored obvious warning signs. They’re the ones who ran a perfectly functional-seeming system right up until it wasn’t. Preventative maintenance is what catches the small stuff — a refrigerant level that’s getting low, a coil that’s starting to restrict airflow, a capacitor showing early signs of failure — before any of those become the reason you’re calling at 9 PM on a Friday.
Qual-Tech’s maintenance plan is built around two annual visits: one in spring before the heat arrives, one in fall before the heating season. Both include a full inspection and tune-up. Plan members also get priority scheduling — which matters a lot in a market where HVAC demand spikes hard and fast.

The plan runs year-round so you’re never caught without coverage. Here’s what membership looks like in practice:
Spring tune-up: We arrive before the heat does. Full inspection, coil cleaning, refrigerant check, electrical testing. Your system goes into summer prepared.
Fall tune-up: Before heating season. We verify reversing valve function on heat pumps, check heat strips on package units, and confirm the system is ready for the cooler months.
Priority service calls: If something goes wrong between visits, plan members go to the front of the scheduling queue. In peak season, that can mean the difference between same-day service and a three-day wait.
20% off all repairs: Any repair during the plan period is discounted. For a system that needs a capacitor mid-season, that savings typically covers the entire year’s plan cost.
10% off new installation: When it’s time to replace, plan members get a discount on the new system. The plan is also fully transferrable — if you sell the home, you can transfer coverage to the new owner.
You'll get 20% off the full cost of any repairs to your system, every time you call.
You're plan goes with you! When you move, your maintenance plan covers the system in your new home!
If you decide that the cost of repairs is no longer economically viable, you'll get 10% off a brand new system, professionally installed.
You'll get priority service, with no additional cost when you complete a repair.
You get 2 yearly inspections: one in the spring to prepare for the hot weather, and one in the autumn to make sure everything's in order.
Get your condenser coil professionally so your system can transfer heat from the indoor coil efficiently to your ductwork and house.
To learn more about what regular maintenance actually does for a system, see our blog on the benefits of AC maintenance.
Your bills stay lower. A clean, properly charged, well-tuned system uses less electricity to do its job. In a home running AC from May through October, that adds up.
Small problems get caught early. A failing capacitor is a $150 repair when we find it during a tune-up. It’s a $1,500 repair when it takes the compressor with it on a 112°F afternoon.
Your air stays cleaner. Cleaned coils and checked filters mean less dust, allergens, and particulate circulating through the home. For The Grand’s resident demographics, indoor air quality isn’t an afterthought.
You don’t scramble in a crisis. Priority scheduling means plan members get fast service when demand is highest. That’s the most tangible benefit in this market.

Twice a year — spring and fall.
The spring visit prepares your system for the cooling season; the fall visit covers the heating side and checks for anything that degraded over the summer. Both visits are included in your Qual-Tech maintenance plan.
Dirt and debris accumulate on the coils, refrigerant levels drift, electrical components age without inspection, and small issues grow into expensive ones.
The two most common outcomes of deferred maintenance are compressor failure and a significantly shorter overall system lifespan. Neither is cheap.
Generally one to two hours.
If we find something that needs attention, we’ll discuss it with you before doing any additional work. Nothing gets added to your bill without your approval.
Weak airflow, warm air from the vents, unusual noises, the system short cycling, or a sudden spike in your electricity bill without a weather explanation.
Any of those during a maintenance visit gets flagged and discussed. See our AC repair page for The Grand if you’re already noticing these.
Some of it.
Monthly filter checks and replacements are something every homeowner should do — especially during heavy summer use. Keeping debris clear of the outdoor unit matters too. But coil cleaning, refrigerant checks, and electrical component testing require tools and training. The professional visit handles what you can’t safely do yourself.
